The main character of the game is an unknown alien who land on earth. His aim is to learn English to communicate with earthlings in different social situations.
Players of Academy Island have to progress through different difficulty levels by helping the alien use English in a range of situations such as shopping in a bakery and visiting places such as an art gallery and library.
The game is designed to help learners improve their English language ability in a fun way.
How to start playing the game
At the bottom left corner you can find the main MENU of the game:
- PLAY GAME button
- HOW TO PLAY button
- LEADERBOARD button
- SEND TO A FRIEND button
If you press HOW TO PLAY button, you’ll find all the instructions which are
- Use the mouse to guide the alien around the islands
- Talk to the people you meet
- Enter the buildings
- Answer questions to get points
- Collect scrolls to get extra points
