This summer we plan to go hiking with my parents.

Dear Tom,
Hi! Thanks for your letter. Sounds like you had a great time at the museum!
Actually, we don’t go to the museums very often. Last time our class visited the War Museum. It is a large battlefield. We saw different types of weapons of that period of time and even walked through a recreated war trench.
As my hobby is painting, I prefer visiting art galleries. My favourite museum is the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. Also, I dream to visit the Prado Museum in Spain someday. Such tours help to develop sense of beauty and broaden your horizons.
By the way, how long will the trip last? What are your plans for August? Do you intend to take part in dancing battles this summer?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Love,
Victoria (138)

Dear Tom,
I got your letter yesterday and decided to write back straightaway.
You asked me about how often our class visits museums. As a rule, we go there in spring and in autumn. Last autumn we visited a local museum in the open air. We saw an old mill. The guide told us about how our ancestors got flour. I’ve learnt lots of new things I’ve never known before. I think people obviously should visit such museums in order to get closer to the history of the region they live.
You know, I’m keen on detectives that’s why I’d like to visit the International Spy Museum in Washington.
By the way, when does your hiking trip start? Are you going to the ocean this summer? Will you take up surfing there?
Keep in touch.
Best wishes,
Valery (142)
